Podcast Interview on “Writing an Academic Monograph”

By a chance connection on LinkedIn, I got to know Dr. Kyle Rudick of the University of Northern Iowa, a professor of Communication and Graduate Program Director there. He kindly invited me to talk with him and his listeners about my latest book, A Culture of Justice. It was a lot of fun. Give a listen, if you’re interested. It’s a little bit about the book and more about the process of writing academic research, the point of the podcast. That was fun. I especially appreciated how Dr. Rudick attended to the important differences and values at work in publishing for fellow scholars in the academy versus writing for readers beyond, a more general readership. It also turns out that Dr. Rudick and I both got our Ph.D.s at Southern Illinois University. Go Salukis! The episode runs 27 mins long, artfully edited down from about a conversation that was more than twice as long as that. If the topic is of interest, enjoy!
I’d love your thoughts and would be happy to answer questions about this. Thanks for listening and sharing!
